Welcome to European International School of Barcelona. We have travelled a very long way since we first opened our doors in 1996. Today we cater for over 1400 boys and girls, who are all encouraged to become global citizens of the world, self-confident in their beliefs and opinions, and yet flexible enough to bridge the gap between different cultures and make the most of all the opportunities that may come their way.

Our educational programme is based on three main pillars: academic excellence, education in values and proficiency in languages. Our academic excellence is based on our students achieving the level they require to be able to study the university degree course of their choice, both at home and abroad. However, while the academic side of things is important, an education in human values is possibly even more so; we expect our students to become well-balanced in character and ready to accept the challenges and responsibilities that lie ahead. We live in a global society and with this in mind, our students will achieve the highest level possible in the languages they will need, not only in English, but also in German, Chinese and French.

The key to our success is our team of teachers; young at heart and dynamic in spirit. EISB’s teachers are highly-qualified and experienced and are in permanent contact with new methods and developments in the teaching profession. European International School of Barcelona follows the official Curriculum (taught mainly through English) but we also introduce the EDEXCEL IGCEs during the secondary years. This allows us to welcome boys and girls of over forty different nationalities who will ultimately obtain places at leading universities in Spain, the UK and America, among other countries.
