Romantic Comedy Series

The Spanish Department together with the Audiovisual Culture Department initiates this week a new stage in the Cineforum with a series called “I Love Cinema” dedicated to romantic comedies awarded by academies of cinema and critics. Throughout spring and until the end of this school year, Friday afternoons will host a forum to comment on the movies of some of the most acclaimed film directors of all times. All the movies will be projected in original version with subtitles.

The inaugural session took place last Friday April 4th with the screening of The Apartment, by Billy Wilder. We received the visit of former students who took the opportunity to see their former classmates while enjoying this 5 Oscar winning film starred by Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine.

The series includes movies such as: In the mood for love, by Wong Kar-Wai, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, by Michel Gondry, Groundhog day, by Harold Ramis, L’avventura, by Michelangelo Antonioni, La dolce vita, by Federico Fellini and Manhattan, by Woody Allen. Cineforum is open to Baccalaureate students, former students and parents.
