ISSA Girls Basketball Tournament

The school girls’ basketball team participated in the ISSA Girls Basketball Tournament, which took place in London last 6th-8th March.

Despite their enthusiasm and motivation to improve their results from previous tournaments, luck did not go our students’ way.

Losing by 5 points against American School of Madrid, by 1 point against Marymount International School and by 2 points against International School of Aberdeen, made it impossible for our students to qualify for semifinals or finals. Such a pity, since this is the last year for some of our athletes and their game really improved with every single match. Despite winning against Bilkent Laboratory 36 to 27, their 8th position is not an accurate reflection of the way they played throughout the tournament.

Nevertheless, it was a great experience!

Chin up girls! We are proud of you and we are sure that next time, thanks to this experience and with a little bit of luck, the results will be much better.
