BIMUN 2016
MODEL UNITED NATIONS AT EUROPA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
From 13th to 15th May 2016 a MUN (Model United Nations) conference was held at Europa International School. For the first time ever, in Catalonia, this event was organized by students!
Hugo Igartua and Marc Rodríguez, our second of Baccalaureate students, organized this encounter that was a resounding success.
The MUN is an international meeting wherein students from different countries, following the MUN format, represent the member state of the United Nations to debate over international politics.
This edition began with an inauguration ceremony in the Catalan Parliament. In the following days, sixty pre-university students from 10 different countries debated over current international politics in the school theatre. All the arguments and conclusions were then transmitted to the international MUN.
Throughout the world, different editions of MUN are organized by schools and private institutions. Well done Marc and Hugo. You’ve done your school proud!
