Screens: usage guidelines and preventing its abuse

Dear families,

We are pleased to invite you to our next  EISB TALK  “Pantallas: pautas de uso y prevención del abuso” (Screens: usage guidelines and preventing its abuse).

The talk will be given by Cristina Martinez*, PhD in psychology, who is an expert in addictions, a cognitive behavioural therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience and a regular collaborator in the media giving her opinion as both a psychologist and a key speaker in prevention talks to students.

We recommend you to log in and take part in the discussion around how to help our children, from early childhood until adolescence, to manage the use of  screens, as well as to learn to identify the dangers these may pose. There will be space allotted for questions and answers.

*More about Dr. Cristina Martinez: Doctor in psychology. Director and founder of the Gabinet Psicològic Mataró. She has been an assistant psychologist at the Psychiatry Service of the Hospital de Mataró since 2005, at the Pathological Gambling Unit since 2011 and at the Drug Dependency Service, the Acute Unit, Day Hospital and the Adult Mental Health Centre of the same hospital from 2005 to 2011. She is an associate medical lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Barcelona. She is a regular contributor to the media as a psychologist (television, radio and press). She is the head of the psychology section of the Barcelona Surgery Unit of the Hospital Universitario Quirón Dexeus where she collaborates with Dr. Manuel Prados in the psychological evaluation and group therapy of patients undergoing obesity surgery. She was coordinator of the Eating Disorders Unit, the Obesity Unit and the Behavioural Addictions Unit of the psychiatry and psychology service of Hospital Universitario Quirón Dexeus from 2005 to 2013.*
